About us
The Human Development Lab is an initiative of the Universidad de los Andes that bring together academics from different social sciences who through their research aim to contribute to the public and scientific debate on topics relevant for the design and implementation of educational, labor, and social policies. We are convinced that supporting individuals to fully develop their potential at each stage of their lives is not only beneficial for them but also for the whole society.
With our work, we aim to:
1. Contribute to the public debate based on scientific evidence.
2. Facilitate collaborations with NGO, public institutions, and other relevant actors in the design and implementation of policies and programs that contribute to the human development.
3. Incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective into the scientific work and policy recommendations generated by the members of the Lab.
