The Human Development Lab strengthens its role through engagement with academics, international organizations, and policymakers.

Associates of the Human Development Lab had an active participation in the public debate on different topics that are relevant for the design of educational policy.

The Human Development Lab (HDL), an interdisciplinary research center integrating faculty from the School of Economic and Business Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the School of Education, has played a prominent role in public debates on educational economics and human development. In recent months, the center has organized and participated in a series of international meetings, bringing together a diverse group of key stakeholders, including renowned academics, representatives of international organizations, foundations, and policymakers.

Among the most notable activities are discussions with scholars from prestigious universities, which have provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore new perspectives on the critical role of education in driving economic development.

Additionally, the HDL has forged closer ties with former and current Ministers of Education in Chile, as well as prominent figures in the political and governmental arenas. These engagements have underscored a shared commitment to transforming and strengthening the Chilean education system.

These dialogues have been instrumental in identifying public policies with the potential to enhance educational quality, equity, and access to opportunities for students across the country. By fostering collaboration across sectors, the Human Development Lab reaffirms its mission to generate research-driven insights that inform effective and transformative educational and economic policies, both in Chile and globally.
